Deborah A. Sackett

Funeral services for Deborah A. Sackett, 57 of Potsdam, will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Rob Schirmer of Hospice officiating. Mrs. Sackett passed away on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1pm until the time of the service. Contributions in memory of Deborah may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US Hwy 11, Potsdam, New York 13676.
Surviving Deborah are her husband Richard of Potsdam, a son Richard Jr. and Letitia Sackett of Potsdam; daughter Bridget and Jon Rabideau of Canton; brothers; Steven Bogart of Greenwood, Fl; and Timothy Bogart of Madrid; a sister Diane Rafferty of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Kelly Herne, Debbi Herne, Christian Rabideau and Jaden Sackett.
A brother Elwood Bogart Jr. predeceases her.
Deborah was born April 2, 1951 in Ogdensburg, daughter of the late Elwood and Florence (Larock) Bogart. She attended Lisbon Schools. She was a stay at home mother. Deborah married Richard Sackett in November of 1973 in Heuvelton. She collected deer figurines, painting, gardening and watching the birds.
