Deanna L. (Sheridan) Stevenson

Ms. Deanna L. (Sheridan) Stevenson, 70, of Canton, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse. She was in the company of her loving family.

Deanna was born June 27, 1949 in Potsdam; the daughter of Richard Sheridan and Janet Merwin. She graduated from Canton High School and from Canton ATC. Deanna worked in the Real Property Tax Office for St. Lawrence County for 35 years. Prior to working for the county, Deanna was a cook at the ATO house.

She loved spending time with her family and she cherished her granddaughters, Hannah and Haley. She enjoyed reading and was a member of Dawn's Gang, she loved to sing and was always bopping to her own tune.

She is survived by a son, Christopher (Heather) Stevenson of Canton; two granddaughters, Hannah and Haley Stevenson; a sister, Jaqueline LaShomb; a brother, Richard "Dickie" (Candace) Sheridan; step-mother, Candy Sheridan and nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parent and by a sister, Cathy Froats.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Fairview Cemetery; Canton.
