Constance P. (Clint) Coloton

Funeral services for Mrs. Constance Coloton, 88, of Yadkinville, NC and formerly of New York will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm at O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton, NY.  Mrs. Coloton passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025.

Friends may call at O'Leary Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the time of the service.

Constance ("Connie") was born on December 17, 1936 in Southampton, Long Island, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Spicer) Clint. She graduated from Knox Memorial Central School in Russell, NY in 1954. She married James Coloton in Potsdam, NY on July 2, 1955.  Connie and Jim settled on the dairy farm in North Russell where they raised their family and worked together for nearly 30 years until Jim's death in 1985.

Surviving Mrs. Coloton are her children, Teresa (Michael) Hak, David (Jeanne) Coloton, Barbara (Jerome) Dearborn, and Cindy (Vern) Madewell; her grandchildren, Matthew (Kristin) Coloton and Melissa (Jim) Fernandes; and her great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Remington, and Knox; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, James, sister, Agnes Davis, and brother, James Clint predeceased her.

Connie had many hobbies and interests over the years including ceramics, woodworking, painting, knitting and crocheting, among other crafts.  For years, she enjoyed her daily walks - sometimes solo but especially with friends. She loved to laugh and tell stories and jokes - the most entertaining were those that she could not finish because she was laughing too hard herself. Her greatest passion, however, was feeding others - her family, friends, "hired hands", contractors, and anyone who stopped to visit.  She loved to cook and bake and tend to her garden.  She was always planting, weeding, picking or replacing.  Her vegetables were a source of food for the family and also the community.
