Claricy M. Stiles

Funeral service for Claricy M. Stiles, 73, of DeKalb, will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:00am at the Christian Family Tabernacle, Rensselaer Falls, with Rev. Andy Reese, officiating. Burial will follow in the Rensselaer Falls Cemetery. Claricy died on Thursday, March 29, 2012 after being stricken at home.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Hwy 11; Canton on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Hermon Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Surviving Claricy are her husband on 56 years, James of DeKalb; seven children, Howard (Howie) Stiles and companion Dawn Randall of Russell; Ricky and wife Vicki Stiles of DeKalb; Steven (Chip) and wife Martha Stiles of Rensselaer Falls; Julie and husband Walter Rexford of Canton; Jamie and husband Richard (Dick) Friot of DeKalb; David (Duffer) and wife Angela Stiles of DeKalb; and Todd Stiles of DeKalb; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Otis and wife Leona Bishop, Gilbert and wife Judy Bishop; Walt and wife Barb Bishop; half siblings, Pete and Donna Bishop, Mary Edna Bishop; Sandy Goodison and Robert Bishop.
Claricy was born July 31, 1938 in the town of Oswegatchie, daughter of the late Morris and Frances (Goodison) Bishop. She married James Stiles in January 10, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Heuvelton. Claricy was a homemaker, dedicating her life to raising her seven children. She enjoyed reading, sewing, bowling, crafts, decorating and spending time with her grandchildren.
