Bonnie L. Bishop

Calling hours for Bonnie L. Bishop, 66, of DeKalb, will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton, immediately followed by a graveside service at the East DeKalb Cemetery, DeKalb Junction. Bonnie died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Contributions in her memory may be made to the AMVETS Post 11 or the DeKalb Junction Fire Department.
Surviving Bonnie is her husband Harold of DeKalb; sons, Gary McCallops of DeKalb; Harold Bishop III of Gouverneur; daughters, Cindy Bishop of Hermon; Lisa Bishop of Potsdam; Amy Fields of Canton; Jamie Bishop of Hermon; Sarah Bishop of DeKalb and Jessica Brown of DeKalb; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Roland McCallops and a sister Joan.
She is predeceased by brothers, Paul and Gary and by sisters, Dorothy, Loretta, Irene and Betsy.
Bonnie was born September 30, 1948, the daughter of Roland and LuLa (Allen) McCallops. She attended Clifton-Fine Central School. Bonnie was a homemaker. She married Harold Bishop Jr. on November 18, 1967 at the DeKalb Methodist Church. Bonnie was a member of the AMVETS Post 11, DeKalb Junction Fire Ladies Auxiliary and loved Bingo.
