Alberta M. (Ladue) Pierce

Funeral Service for Alberta M. Pierce, 91, of Canton will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Home, with Rev. Bernard Menard, officiating. Alberta died on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Massena Memorial Hospital.
Calling hours will be held at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton on Thursday from 11:00 AM to the time of the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Alberta was born June 9, 1924 in Norfolk. She married Thomas M. "Red" Crotty in 1946, Mr. Crotty predeceased her in 1988. Together they owned and operated Crotty's Restaurant for several years until in closed in 1978. She worked as a cook at St. Mary's Rectory and at SUNY Canton. Later she married Royal S. Pierce, who predeceased her in 2005. Together they operated a bed and breakfast on the Pierce Farm on Route 11. Alberta also bought and sold antiques.
Alberta is survived by a son, Thomas M Crotty; by a daughter, Annette Fletcher and by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Susan and by all of her siblings.
