Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes M. Davis, 81, of Highland Nursing Home in Massena formerly of Potsdam and North Russell will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11:00am at O'Leary Funeral Service in Canton with Rev. James Brand Officiating. Mrs. Davis went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2008.
Friends may call at O'Leary Funeral Service on Monday, July 28, 2008 from 10:00am until the time of the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Surviving Mrs. Davis are two sons and daughter-in-laws, Bruce A and Mary Davis of Manchester, CT and Vern C. and Norma Davis of Ogdensburg; a sister Constance Coloton of Yadkinville, NC; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A brother James Clint predeceases her.
Born September 16, 1926 in Southampton, Long Island, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Spicer) Clint. She graduated from Long Island Schools. On January 23, 1943 she married Harold A. Davis in Amagansett, Long Island, he predeceased her on February 5, 1995. In 1946 the couple moved to North Russell to settle and raise a family. Mrs. Davis worked for the Canton College Foundation and retired from ATC as the head cook.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Potsdam American Legion and past treasurer of the Debra Drive Senior Association. The family would like to express their gratitude to her friends at Debra Drive and the staff at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena for their care during her stay.
