Robert Thomas (Tom) Coloton, 81, of Oswego passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.
Tom was born April 17, 1936, in Russell, New York, the son of the late Howard Coloton and the late Zelda Coloton Gugel. Tom married Elizabeth McGregor of Australia on May 23, 1964. The marriage ended in divorce. He later married Patricia Pauldine on August 17, 1985.
Tom served in the United States Air Force for 13 years. He worked at the Motor Vehicle Registry as an inspection officer then as a Line Supervisor at Devro Pty Ltd, a producer of manufactured casings for the food industry in Australia. He moved back to the United States and was the manager of Pontiac Terrace Apartments in Oswego until his retirement. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching sporting events, especially the Australian Rugby League. He remained a South Sydney Rabbitohs fan all his life.
Tom is survived by his wife in Oswego as well as three daughters, Anna Roberts, Robin Cross, Jennifer Coloton, two sons Timothy Coloton and John Coloton, all of Australia as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers John "Jack" (Janet) Coloton of DeKalb Junction and Michael (Pam) Coloton of Buchanan, Virginia. Tom is predeceased by his parents, his first wife Elizabeth McGregor Coloton, three sisters, Doris Lamm, Anne Coller, and Betty Hubbard and one brother, James Coloton.
