We are truly sorry for your loss. Seems like just yesterday Eric was running the floor at Canton CC basketball camp. It's a terrible thing for children to pass before their parents. May he Rest In Peace

I was saddened to hear of Erich's passing. It has been many years since I had last seen him, but I spoke to Erich Sr. a year ago and knew of his battle. While my earliest memories of Erich and his family revolved around sports, pee wees, basketball camps, etc., my fondest memories of him, revolved around the 1976/77, Canton Golden Bears basketball team. The "Big E" as he was known by his teammates, was a solid team player and contributor. I greatly enjoyed that season, my last playing for Canton. It is clear from these tributes he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Erich was a great friend and gentle soul to everyone he met. My husband met Erich at college and they worked together for a short time afterward. Paul remembered Erich as being a friendly and calming presence, providing humor and support in every avenue it was needed.
I met him in the town of Canton when my husband would run into him. He was a sweetheart to me and it makes me very sad to think of all the people he has left behind. The world is a little less loving with his absence. I hope his family and close friends can find comfort during this time.

To the ones we leave behind,
It is with a heavy heart I am writing you Erich's Family and Friends this condolence post. Some of you I know while many others I do not. I have known Erich for over 20 years now and there are so many great memories I will always have to cherish of him. The first one is the funniest and will stay with me forever, He says hi I'm Eric... that's Eric with an " H " so don't forget it! I didn't either because I think he quizzed me on it every time he saw me for the first six months of knowing him, then it just became a thing between us. He had a wonderful smile, an infectious laugh, a heart of gold, and that " Big brother protectiveness" and a hug whenever you needed it. Thank You so much for sharing him with us. Rest in Peace Erich with an "H" Til we meet again FLY HIGH My Friend FLY HIGH

My deepest condolences to Erich's family, we all miss him greatly.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

My thoughts and prayers are with Erich's family during this time.
I had the pleasure of re-connecting with Lurch (as we called him in high school) about 3 years ago! So glad I had the opportunity to do so! He was a wonderful, funny, caring, huggable, stubborn person! I will miss our chats, his laughter and baking cookies for him. He sure did like cookies! Fly high my friend! You're now a guardian angel to so many. Watch over all of us. He'll forever be in our hearts and memories. Love and miss you! <3 Till we meet again! Hugs ⚽🏈
