Cynthia Bender, 65, of Canton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 while at home.
Cynthia was born June 28, 1953 in Newton, Kansas; the daughter of Herbert and Cora (Arnold) Froelich. She graduated from Bethel College with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and from the University of Missouri – Columbia, where she received a Master’s Degree in Library Science. Cynthia was the Librarian at the Enoch-Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland prior to moving to Canton. On August 31, 1974, Cynthia was married to David Bender. While in Canton, Cynthia had become an active member of S.O.A.R. and Friends of the Canton Free Library and she loved to read.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 44 years, David Bender; her mother, Cora Froelich; two brothers, Dana (Debbie Hwa) Froelich of St. Louis, MO and Stephen (Debbie Sarmiento) Froelich of Overland Park, KS. Also surviving are her many friends.
