I only knew Carl from my volunteer work at Maple Wood, but he was one of my favorite people to visit. He always gave me a warm and welcoming smile as I approached, often making eye contact from across the room, and I loved our talks about hunting, making maple syrup, seeing animals, and his farm. Even late in his life, he still had a wit about him that could make me laugh. I came to see him the day after he'd passed, and as I approached the thought that he might be gone flitted across my mind. I am not sorry he's not no longer in Maple Wood, because I know he was fading and also remember how he'd often tell me he was leaving and going home----and now he has done that leaving. But I will miss him. My sincere condolences to the family.

Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am from the Potsdam area, and I wanted to say to the friends and family of Carl Coller, that I am truly sorry for your loss. I also wanted to share a little word of encouragement.
There is a lovely scripture that always helped me through difficult times. It's found in Revelation 21:4. It specks of God's promise for the earth and everyone on it. It says, "And he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Isn't that a beautiful promise? If you would like to learn more about God's future hope, please contact me at carbo96@icloud.com.
