Funeral Service for Miss Mary Lee Butler, 86, of Canton, will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton, with Pastor Fred Sykes, officiating. Burial will be held in the Tully Cemetery, Tully, New York on Saturday, June 11 at 1:00 PM. Mary Lee passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the United Helpers Riverledge Nursing Home, Ogdensburg.

Calling hours will be held at the O’Leary Funeral Home on Friday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to Bible Club Ministires, Baptist Life Association 8555 Main Street; Buffalo, New York 14221.

Mary Lee was born, April 21, 1930 in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Lee Warren and Hazel Ilene (Shiels) Butler. Mary Lee graduated from Onondaga Central School in South Onondaga, NY and from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. She worked for many years as an Instructor of Religious Education and as Summer Camp Counselor for the Bible Club Ministries International.

Mary Lee is survived by a brother, Thomas William Butler and wife Doris of Bayonet Point, FL; by two nieces, Kimberly Ann Charette of Land O’Lakes, FL and Sheila Anne Pavlikowski and husband Martin of Suffolk, VA and by a nephew, Warren Thomas Conant and wife Kimberly of Chesapeake, VA.

She is predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Ida Mae and Patrick Conant.
