Jane A. (Allison) Wood

Memorial Service for Mrs. Jane A. Wood, 89, of Canton, NY will be held on Sunday February 12th at 5pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Walter Smith, officiating. Jane passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 8th 2017 at the Canton Potsdam Hospital.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 12th from 2pm until the time of the service. Contribution in memory may be made to Canton Rescue Squad, 77 Riverside Drive; Canton, NY or United Presbyterian Church of Lisbon, 26 Church Street; Lisbon NY.

Jane is survived by her sons, Michael A. Moore and wife Sherrill of Lisbon; William John Moore of Spanaway, WA; by two daughters, Noni Wickman of Potsdam, NY; and Sally Moore or Spanaway, WA. Jane is also survived by a sister Ann Mitchell of Hammond, NY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jane is predeceased by a sister Sally Tracy.

Jane was born July 8th 1927 in Waddington, NY; daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Palmer) Allison. She graduated from Waddington School and from Ogdensburg Business School.

On November 24th 1967 she married Donald A. Wood who predeceased her October 10th 1998.

Jane worked at the Pentagon during WWII and later was a secretary at Raybrook Cadillac. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, quilting, and traveling by all methods. She loved her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.
