Your mother was an inspiration to all women during her lifetime. I was privileged to interview both your Mom and Dad and learned so much about their lives and careers. Your mother was one of Lottie Southworth's (SLU professor and Library at SUNY Canton named in her honor) young girls from around the county that was able to obtain a college education at the "Aggie School" when the opportunity was not readily available to young farm girls. When I read where Mrs. Thompson passed away, my thoughts went back to my 4-H years with your family. It was a privilege to be a part of that club, but better yet it was great to have you as neighbors. There is a lovely scripture that always helped me through difficult times. It's found in Revelation 21:4. It specks of God's promise for the earth and everyone on it. It says, "And he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Mr. Thompson, and family;
