Doris Anna (Howard) Weston

Doris Anna (Howard) Weston, 99, of Potsdam died peacefully at her home while under the care of her son and Hospice and Palliative Care on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

Doris was a homemaker all of her life, as well as a local 4-H leader for several years. Doris, along with her husband Kenneth enjoyed playing cards in the neighborhood and attending local card parties. When Doris and Ken retired from farming, they enjoyed traveling to Florida, Alaska and Colorado. Her family was always the most important part of her life.

Doris is survived by her son Leroy Weston; three grandchildren; Diane Hosenfeld, Douglas Noble and Denise Noble; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kylie Altimus.

She is predeceased by her parents, Wayne Phelps Howard and Lura Mae Moore, by her husband Kenneth H. Weston, her daughter, Doreen Weston Noble, a brother, Alton Howard and her sisters, Melita Howard Weston and Rachel Howard Murry.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
