Anna D. (Duprey) Miller

Mrs. Anna D. Miller, 78, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 while in the company of family at the United Helpers Riverledge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg.

Anna is survived by her husband of 60 years, Neal Miller of Canton; three sons, Brian (Venetia) Miller of Canton; Shawn (Donna) Miller of Hermon and Allen (Jennifer) Miller of Buffalo; a daughter, Julie (Bill) Miller of Canton; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Marilyn Rivers of Massena and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, Emmett and Albertine Duprey; brothers, Emmett and Ernest Duprey and sisters, Eileen LaHair, Bernadette Miller and Mary Donie.

Anna was born on July 1, 1939 in Mooers Forks, the daughter or Emmett and Albertine (Barcomb) Duprey. She attended Massena Schools and later obtained her GED and became a New York State CNA. Anna had worked early on at Fishman’s Department Store in Massena, at the Tri-Delta Sorority in Canton and was a CNA at Community Nursing Home in Potsdam. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Church Altar and Rosary Society, a licensed Ham Radio operator and member of CB Patrol. She enjoyed crocheting, rock collecting, oil painting and was a thrifty quilter.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home in Canton. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm. Harbor Blvd.; Fullerton, CA 92835.
