Calling hours for Albert T. Hundley, 83, of Canton, will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Graveside services will be held privately. Albert died on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Albert is survived by his wife, Joan B. Peters-Hundley of Canton; by his three children; Rita J. (Alan) Ostrander of Canton; Irwin J. (Pat) Hundley of Hockessin, DE and Patricia Woodward of Madison, ME. Also surviving are step-children, Dale Peters of Houston, TX; David Peters of Houston, TX and Diane Peters of Raymondville; by grandchildren, Cheryl Ostrander, Jonny Hundley, Nicole Heisey, Eric Woodward, Kevin Cougler, Tony Cougler and Rebecca Woods, as well as nine great-grandchildren.

A brother, Elwyn Hundley and a sister Jean Poticher predecease him.

Albert was born November 29, 1932 in Pierrepont, the son of the late Leland M. and Alyce (Brown) Hundley. He attended Pierrepont Schools. Albert married Betty Peters on September 24, 1952. Betty predeceased him on April 8, 1996. On January 5, 1997, Albert married Joan Post Peters. Albert worked construction, logging and on the St. Lawrence Seaway. He was the owner/operator of Hundley Farm Implements and built logging roads for various companies.

Albert was an avid four-wheeler and side-by-side rider, and would travel up to 100 miles per day, several days a week. He was a member of the Sillwater and Weller Mountain Hunting Clubs, was past chief of the Pierrepont Fire Department and spent a lot of time grooming snowmobile trails and was named NYS Groomer of the year in 2007 by the New York State Snowmobilers association. He enjoyed weekly card games with the boys.
